One night in 2008, as Anastacia Mukabwa slept in her bedroom, she saw what she now describes as a vision.

“I saw a bright sheet of light with various scriptures written on it. God revealed to me that He wanted me to come up with a song that would not only touch lives but leave a mark for generations to come. To cap it all, God gave me the wordings of the song Kiatu Kivue during my dream and instructed me to release it,” she narrates during an interview with Eve.

She adds that when she woke up, she could hardly understand what had just happened. Was it just a dream?

As she went about her life, Anastacia chose to ignore what had happened, believing the memory would fade away. But over the next few nights, the dream kept coming back, over and over.

“I started to wonder if maybe God was speaking to me. Back then, I was serving as a leader for the praise and worship team at my church. I sought advice from my pastor Joseph Maisha who later became my spiritual mentor,&rdqu

For a long time most people thought the popular Kiatu Kivue gospel tune was Rose Muhando’s song as Anastacia Kakii Obule aka Anastacia Mukabwa, the singer and composer, was relatively unknown in the music industry in 1998 when the song rocked the airwaves.

"Rose Muhando featured in the song, but I was the one who composed it," Anastacia says.

The album Kiatu Kivue has songs - Kiatu Kivue, Heshima, Manamba wa Matatu, Nzinzi Lela, Nishike Mkono, Tabu Zangu, Utukuzwe and Mfalme Farao.

“I strongly felt that it took the hand of God to single handedly come up with this album as it was an expensive venture, ” she says in impeccable Kiswahili, a result of growing up in Momsasa and one of the reasons her fans thought she was the popular gospel singer from Tanzania Rose Muhando.

But despite her fame many critics are of the opinion that Mukabwa has been on the low musically. With others suggesting that she may have quit music for as different profession due to dwindling fortune
