Afsana Karim Mimi aka Afsana Mimi has been the mastermind and core flowing energy of a number of companies. Afsana Mimi is a Bengali actor, model, theatre actress, screenwriter, and director. She was born on 20th December 1968 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mimi completed her schooling and then graduated in English literature from a university in Dhaka. Later, she married Gazi Rakayet, a Bangladeshi director cum actor. He won the Best Director award and received the Best Supporting Actor award for the film "Ekdin."
Mimi started her career through the theatre group Nagroik Natya Sampradaya. Her first work was in 1986 in Raj Darshan. Later, Mimi performed in many dramas like Dorpo, Isha Darponar Sarodshoshi, etc. She got her breakthrough in acting through the television show "Kothao Keu Nei" in 1990. Mimi tried out directing in 2000 with "Kaser Manush." She also worked on a cooking show on ATN News called "Nostalgia." Later, Mimi distinguished herself as a mainstream artist and appeared in more than two dozen dramas and films. Her performance was adjudged and applauded.
