Todd Hall

Todd Hall, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He is the founder and former director of the Institute for Research on Psychology and Spirituality at Rosemead. Dr. Hall’s writing and research focus on relational approaches to spiritual development, leadership/organizational development and flourishing. Over the past two decades he has worked to develop a broad theory of Relational Spirituality, the subject of his forthcoming book called Relational Spirituality: An Integrative Paradigm of Spiritual Transformation.  As part of this research program, Dr. Hall has developed several widely used measures of relational spirituality (Spiritual Assessment Inventory, Spiritual Transformation Inventory, SpiritPulse) and published empirical research on topics such as attachment to God, attachment and psychological well-being and longitudinal trends of college student spirituality.

Professor Hall earned his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2008 and has held postdoctoral fellowships at Princeton and Harvard, as well as visiting scholar appointments at the Free University of Berlin, Tsinghua University in Beijing, and the University of Tokyo. Prior to joining the University of Oxford, Professor Hall held the position of Assistant Professor in Political Science at the University of Toronto (2010-2013). Research interests extend to the areas of international relations theory; the intersection of emotion, affect, and foreign policy; and Chinese foreign policy. Recent publications include articles in International OrganizationInternational SecurityInternational Studies Quarterly, International Studies Review, Political Psychology, Political Science Quarterly, and Security Studies. Dr. Todd Hall is the eldest of nine siblings, born in Brooklyn, New York to a legacy of preachers of the Gospel, including his father, mother and grandparents.  Overcoming the lure of the streets to accept his call to ministry has brought this man of God to a number of crossroads.  Choosing ministry over fame and fortune has brought him and those who receive his message of purpose in Christ, greater riches.

Dr. Hall is the Founder and Overseer of The Shabach Church in Apopka, Florida as well as the Chief Apostle and Prelate of The Shabach Christian Church Fellowship with churches throughout the US.  He has over 30 years of practical experience as a Theologian, community leader and youth advocate. His excitement and intensity in delivering the Word of the Lord has helped to revive ministries, restore pastors, rebuild churches and renew the hearts and minds of Believers; as well as, Non-Believers to a new level of faith and commitment to God.
