Texas claims Amber Digby, but her roots (both musically and geographically) lie in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in the birthplace of Country Music, Amber comes from a long line of Classic Country Music Royalty. Amber’s father is Dennis Digby, longtime bass player in the Coal Miners, Loretta Lynn’s road band. Amber’s mother, Dee, was a backup singer for artists such as Connie Smith. Amber’s stepfather, Dicky Overbey, is a steel guitar legend who recorded and performed with Faron Young, Connie Smith, Hank Williams, Jr., Ronnie Milsap, and Johnny Bush. And Amber is the niece of Darrell McCall, who garnered a #1 hit when he wrote “Eleven Roses”, on top of his own solo top 40 hits.

AMBER DIGBY...is an artist who is climbing to the top of her game in the country music business. This gifted young woman is a pure natural on stage and her vocals portray a wisdom and maturity way beyond her years.

She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee by two talented parents who were already working in the music industry. With her large musical family behind her, it is safe to say that Amber literally grew up on stage. Her mother sang harmony with Connie Smith, and her father played bass for Loretta Lynn for almost twenty years.

Amber started singing with bands in clubs at the age of fifteen. She was a featured female vocalist with the Missouri based bands, Prairie Wind and Livewire. In 1997, she performed at the Tulsa Bluegrass festival, and the Tulsa Channel 8 talent show. She also sang at the Iowa State Rodeo in 1998. Amber recorded her first demo, featuring four songs, in Branson, Missouri at Branson Studio. It featured musicians from the Moe Bandy and Mel Tillis road shows. Artist Bio: You'll hear a lot of musicians say that they were surrounded by country music when growing up. But few can say it and mean it as literally as Amber Digby can. When she was born, her father, Dennis Digby, had just left his job as road manager and bassist for Cal Smith to start playing bass for Loretta Lynn. Whole growing up, she'd go on the road with her dad, ride the band bus (the one used in "Coal Miner's Daughter") and watch the shows from the side of the stage. Meanwhile, her mom, Donna, was a backup singer for Connie Smith, a slot she relinquished when Amber was two, and she later went to work for Ronnie Milsap Enterprises. Amber's uncle is well-established country artist Darrell McCall, and her aunt Diane McCall had her own solo career in the '60s and also worked with Charlie Louvin.
