Katie Nolan is the half-sister of Kelly Severide and daughter of Benny Severide. She has been to Firehouse 51 twice and as of the episode Shoved in My Face was in a relationship with Brian Zvonecek before they broke up.
Biography[]
Katie's mother remarried when she was four, so she grew up with two step-sisters. She only met her father Benny Severide when she was ten. Benny would send presents to her every year, something she appreciated. He promised that he was going to be in her life from then on but she didn't see him again until she was 21. (Rhymes with Shout)
Season 2[]
When Kelly first sees her, he spots Katie hugging Benny and believes that his father is cheating on his wife with her. (A Power Move)
Kelly finds Katie and confronts her over supposedly having an affair with Benny but she says that she's his daughter. Benny pushes for Severide to get closer to Katie when he leaves to return to his wife. At the end, Katie meets with Kelly at her job and learns that he is her half-brother from their shared father.
