Democratic Party finally appoints political coordinator for diaspora
The Democratic Party has appointed former Speaker of Parliament Jozefina Topalli as the new political coordinator for the Albanian diaspora. This marks Topalli’s return to a prominent role within the party, a decision backed by party leader Sali Berisha after years of her absence from Democratic ranks.

The DP's leader for the Diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, during a meeting with Albanians living in Florence, called for the active engagement of the diaspora in democratic processes in Albania, emphasizing the importance of registering to vote.
" Albania belongs to all Albanians and can be saved by developing, " declared Topalli.
She praised the role of Albanians in the diaspora as ambassadors of Albanian values and strong connections to global opportunities.
“ You who have chosen to build a life in a new country are an example of what a small nation can do in the world. But have you considered that the diaspora is no longer simply a ‘pillar of support’ for Albania? You are not only our ambassadors. You are also our innovators and perhaps… the guides for the change we seek within Albania ,” she said.
Topalli emphasized that the contribution of the diaspora is crucial for the development and future of the country, calling on compatriots to be active in decision-making for Albania.
